So recently, I had run out of my usual facial cleanser and moisturiser and was left without ANY for a little over four weeks; I found myself using up random old cleansers and moisturisers which resulted in my skin acting all cray and stuff!
(I definitely do not recommend doing that okay)
I was certain that I wanted to try out some skincare products by Philosophy and I was scrounging for it almost everywhere but unfortunately, I couldn’t find any anywhere. So I settled for some Soap and Glory products and I gotta say Im loving the stuff so far.
Soap and Glory never fails to impress!
Before anything, I would like to say that my skin type is Normal but definitely on the dry side.
So, the cleanser.
This face wash contains peach and go juice extracts which you don’t really see in face cleansers as often as citrus and aloe, don’t you agree?
It smells divine and is a dream to use! It has a thick gel consistency and has little exfoliating beads in it too. Using it in the morning wakes my face up and leaves my skin feeling super fresh! If I’m not mistaken, I think it also contains caffeine and vitamin C which is also said to be great for the skin.
Though its foamy, it doesn’t dry my skin out at all. It leaves it feeling all soft and supple instead 🙂 A tiny pea sized dollop is literally all I use right when I wake up and before bed.
Call me silly but I was not aware that this cleanser and lotion go hand in hand together until I used it and recognised the peach scent.
Now this is one great moisturiser! Its super hydrating, sinks into the skin really fast and leaves my skin feeling super soft and supple!
The packaging claims to be a 6 in 1 dream. It states to maximise moisture levels, sooth stressed skin, rejuvenate tired skin, improve elasticity, soften and smooth the skin.
AND IT DOES EVERYTHING!
I use this lotion twice a day and it leaves my skin feeling moisturised all day long. This one’s a keeper everybody!
Ive been using these products for the past 3 weeks now, and I do feel a difference in my skin. Some extra products that I do use is The Body Shop Drops of Youth serum occasionally, as well as the Cetaphil Cleanser if my skin is going a bit crazy.
I got these products from Boots Pharmacy, I have to admit the prices are a bit too steep for products from boots; but it really is worth it. And also, I feel like its not a terrible thing to spend the money on skin care.
